The fuel injection pump, commonly known as the high-pressure fuel pump, is the core of a diesel engine’s fuel supply system. Driven by timing gears, it precisely and quantitatively delivers high-pressure diesel fuel to the cylinders according to the engine’s firing order, injection advance angle, and load. Working in conjunction with the injector for atomization and combustion, it directly determines engine power, fuel consumption, starting performance, and idle stability, making it a key assembly controlling the overall engine power output.
